A little about me:

I am an observer, listener, and a dreamer.

I love to be around lots of people as much as I love to spend the day alone painting, or curled up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

How it all began:

Painting started as a hobby. I had watched Bob Ross on TV many times, but had never tried to actually follow along. Inspired by Bob Ross and his “happy trees,” I decided to give it a shot. I went all out and learned a lot of interesting techniques, while also creating a few of my own. Bob taught me to express my unique individuality through my art. He taught me not to be afraid to make mistakes, and that sometimes, less is more. Bob also had a wonderful way of showing the love that he put into his artwork.

How I paint:

I have lived in the Northwest for 25 years and do not think I could live anywhere else. The scenery I paint is inspired by the natural beauty I get to see every day.

When I paint I get into a flow, where it is effortless and joyful to put my direct emotion into a physical painting. I find painting therapeutic and enjoy sharing it with others. Bob inspired me to believe in myself. If I could inspire even the smallest fraction of people that he did, it will still be worth it to me.

I would describe my work as simple at first glace, yet full of depth. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Maybe it will even inspire you to take a few chances of your own!
